HOVER-1 EVOLUTION

OVERLAY SKETCHING

Since 2020 the International Design League has developed concepts for 100s of hoverboard, electric scooters, e-bikes and other electric micro mobility concepts for Hover-1. When they came to us with this project the original brief was to build off the legacy of one of Hover-1 ‘s most iconic hoverboards The Rebel. We started analyzing the 3D file of the Rebel hoverboard and wanted to maintain the hallmark look of the distinctive wheel wells of the Rebel hoverboard. While sketching overlays on the existing Rebel design we cultivated a sleek and aggressive look that would bring the next generation of Rebel Hoverboards to riders. The project naturally became known as The Evolution.

3D MODELING And Rendering

After review with the client, the concept direction was selected. From here the project moved strait into 3D modeling and presentation renderings. After internal Hover-1 reviews and buyers meetings some rounds of tweaks and revisions were implemented from the IDL side before passing the Hover-1 team the 3D file for final engineering.

FINAL PRODUCTION PRODUCT

If we think of our projects like sports teams. Then making it to the store shelves of Walmart might be like making it to the Super Bowl. Nevertheless it was a great joy to see the Hover-1 Evolution at the Walmart in Cincinnati. Unboxing it and going for a ride did not disappoint either.
